I Corinthians 3:16-17 Know you not that you are the temple of God, that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
Destruction of First Temple by the Babylonians, under Nebuchadnezar. About 100,000 Jews killed during invasion. Exile of remaining tribes in southern kingdom to Babylon and Persia. |
Destruction of Second Temple by Romans, under Titus. Over 2,500,000 Jews die as a result of war, famine and disease. Over 1,000,000 Jews exiled to all parts of the Roman Empire. Over 100,000 Jews sold as slaves by Romans. Jews killed and tortured in gladiatorial "games" and pagan celebrations. |
What is the theme of these events, the precept? In both cases the presence of God through the Spirit was taken away. What is the reason for the Rapture?
Habakkuk 3:3-6; And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.
Who is caught up in this pre-tribulation event?
Malachi 3:16-18; 17 And they shall be mine, saith Yahuweh of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
In both scriptures it is Yahushua who is speaking. Some of you denominations question “What is His power?”
Luke 24:39-49 49 And, behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Power is only part of the reason; your heart of love which is the patience of His word is the other. Speaking in tongues is the evidence that we have of His baptism. It does not give you a ticket up. You can have all faith all power but if you do not have love you are nothing.
Micah 6:6-16 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth Yahuweh require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Father open eyes to Your fear, that we praying always may be account worthy, to be among Your jewels gathered before Your indignation and wrath. In the midst of years remember mercy.
